On quick start: “It’s really nice. The team is doing great. I’m really excited about the season.”
On coach Matt Crowder: “He’s just got his 100th win at Patrick Henry. He’s doing pretty well.”
Best trait: “I would say probably ball movement.”
Goal this year: “Just to do the best I could do and come out and hopefully get a chance to pitch and do well.”
If she could meet one person: “Cat Osterman.”
Toughest opponent: “I don’t really have a toughest opponent. I don’t think any opponents are easy.”
On pitching approach: “I don’t have a different mindset. My main objective is just to trick the batter in anything that I do.”
On college: “I hope to pursue it in college. My main goal is to go to a good school for grades. If I could play in college I would absolutely love to do that.”
Rita Gilman: A slew of talented softball pitchers train with former Patrick Henry star Rita Gilman. “A lot of the girls work with her. She has a lot of out-of-state students, too. I’ve been working with her since I was 9 or 10 years old.”
